Job overview 

This role contributes to Neg Earth Lights reputation for excellence by ensuring that the Warehouse equipment provided, is delivered on time and in line with customers’ expectations covering all Health and Safety requirements, and that all returning equipment is checked, repaired and in good working order.

 

About You & the Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Neg Earth’s equipment is maintained and serviced to the highest and safest standard. You will be part of a professional operational team, that consistently ensures equipment is prepared to the highest standard, within required timescales and to client’s requirements.

You’ll play an essential part in the company success by efficiently and effectively carrying out duties including:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manually loading and unloading stage lighting equipment - various size vehicles.
  • Stock management of equipment using the company stock control system and handheld scanners.
  • Picking, prepping and roller painting stage lighting trusses, metal work and woodwork.
  • Prepping and de-prepping stage lighting systems.
  • Assembling stage lighting metalwork and woodwork.
  • Cleaning cable, cases, equipment, aluminum trusses.
  • Warehouse housekeeping.
  • Assisting the cable department picking, testing, checking in, looming/de-looming, and stock control of power and data cable.

 

Standard Companywide Responsibilities:

  • Any other duties as required / authorised by your Line Manager / Line Management reporting line..
  • Comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Comply with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensuring that work areas are always kept in a clean and tidy manner, following the principles of 5S.

 

Your skills, qualifications & experience

Essential Skills Required for this Role

  • High level of both written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to take ownership for timely delivery.
  • Be solutions focused, pragmatic and have a positive approach towards teamwork.
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a team.

  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good level of IT skills.
  • Flexibility and focus on high-level delivery: the show must go on so providing a 7-day operation/service is key. The ability to occasionally be flexible with working hours and patterns is essential in our industry. This will encompass additional hours or weekend work, paid as overtime or time in lieu.

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of equipment used within the entertainment business. This is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Availability to work Overtime, immediately available, etc.
